Certified Cannabis Nurse, Renee Evans, talks to CANVIVA.

Renee Evans runs her own business, Holistic Nurse Entrepreneur – 111. She is a Certified Cannabis Nurse Consultant, EFT Practitioner, Usui Reiki Master and Teacher, and Miracle Mindset Coach. And a cornerstone of her business is CBD. Clients come to her with questions about the best way to take CBD oil, what the proper dosage is, and how it may help detoxify the body. Here, she’ll answer those questions, and more, for us. But first, a bit about her background.

The power of CBD in action.

Renee had been an ER nurse for a decade when she first saw the power of CBD in action. Her beloved dog Xzander fell ill. He had no energy or appetite, and was in severe pain. A trip to the vet confirmed the worst — he had a tumor and didn’t have long to live. Wanting to do everything she could to make her best friend comfortable in his final days, Renee started researching CBD on a tip from her father. She gave Xzander his first dose of full spectrum CBD oil that day.

“Xzander lived another eight months before passing away from the tumor’s effects. But they were a quality eight months.”

Inspired by this experience, Renee did more research and learned about the human endocannabinoid system and the almost mysterious way CBD interacts with it. She decided to dedicate her life to helping people find a holistic approach to healing that treats the mind, body, and soul. For her, that’s where true health comes from.

“I develop care plans for people,” she explains. “The majority of my clients have tried everything. They’ve been on tons of meds with lots of side effects. Chronic pain is the number one reason they seek me out.”

She begins the process by asking her clients to consult with their physicians. Then she reviews their health history to help learn what medications they’re taking.

“For many of my clients, I recommend CBD.”

What’s the best way to take CBD?

Take the oil in a tincture, put it under your tongue and hold it there for about 90 seconds. This way more of the CBD is absorbed into your bloodstream directly, without going through your digestive system like edible CBD products such as gummies. You can also put CBD on your skin.  Do not take CANVIVA SOLUBLE sublingually.

For pets, you can rub it right into their gums.

What’s the proper dosage?

It varies for everyone, but I take a tincture in the morning and at night. Check out CANVIVA’s blog “The Right Dosage For You” for more information.

Does CBD interact with medications?

It may, so you should check with your doctor before taking CBD if you are on any prescription medications.

CBD has cannabinoids. Our bodies have an endocannabinoid system. Coincidence?

It is mind-blowing, but it‘s not a coincidence. Our endocannabinoid system is named for cannabis, the plant that led to its discovery. There is a variety of phytocannabinoids, including cannabis, that interacts with this astonishing system. I believe cannabis is a plant of this earth, made by God, for our health.

Does CBD detoxify the body?

Yes, it may help. CBD can act as a balancing wheel to support you when your body is out of homeostasis.

Can it help with withdrawal symptoms?

I know of rehab facilities that are using it to help support people who are going through drug and alcohol withdrawal. As with any medical condition, I recommend consulting with your healthcare practitioner before using CBD.

Cannabis was first used thousands of years ago. But it fell out of favor. Why?

I’ve seen actual ads in the 1930s featuring old bottles of hemp oil. People used it for everything back then! I believe many people stopped using cannabis products when marijuana was classified as a Schedule 1 drug.

We all grew up with the DARE programs at school and the war on drugs. So people were afraid of it. It’s my life’s mission to educate people about CBD and the benefits of cannabis.

Why have you partnered with CANVIVA?

I love, love, love CANVIVA because the products come with third-party lab testing results. You know what you’re getting. And, that’s rare. It’s the wild, wild west out there with cannabis products. You can trust CANVIVA.
